The New Jersey Nets have come to terms with Avery Johnson to make him the next head coach of the team. The contract will be for three years. Financial terms of the deal have not been released.
Johnson, who had mixed success coaching the Mavericks, will take over the Nets as they attempt to build a winner there under Russian owner NBA Jerseys, who has a five year plan for winning the NBA Championship.
